Here are some pics of Thanksgiving and Harper's first belated birthday cup cake.

Thanks Giving 2011

It has been almost one year now since my grandma died. So my parents decided to go down to Long Beach to be with my grandpa Joe for Thanksgiving and his birthday. Because of this we spent Thanks giving with my Mom and Dad a week before the actual Thanksgiving. It was all the usual suspects, my brother his wife and four kids, Shawna her husband and two kids, Heather and her friend, me Ben and the boys and my Parents. It was a great time of feasting and enjoying one anothers company. Holidays with my family is always the same but that is the beauty of it you can always know what to expect and what to look forward to. Love you all deeply! xoxoxo

Our second Thanks giving was at our home. This is the first time I have ever taken on Thanksgiving meal on my own. I will say I was pretty proud of myself. Turkey turned out great and my pies were beyond my expectations. Our only guest was aunt Heather and we really enjoyed her company. All in all it was a very low key Thanksgiving which I didn't mind at all

Here is the Quick Version of Summer. We spent most of June inside since it rained almost the entire month. So when the sun decided to shine we were ready for it. I think most of July was spent in the back yard with the boys in the kiddy pool and me out back in the garden.

Ben did a lot of racing and of course we folowed him to most his races and cheered him on. Now When I go out on runs and the boys see people biking they always say "way to go fast guy!" So funny and cute. It really catches people off guard. The major highlight of Ben's races this year was the Hawaii Half Iron Man which Ben took third in his age group and qualified for the Full Hawaii Iron man!!!!

Of course the Casebolt family made the trek to the Oregon coast. Let's just say it was the only place on earth that was cloudy and raining. However we made the best of it. Unfortunately I have no pictures of it because my camera was stolen at the Portland Zoo along with all of my beautiful photos from the coast. I was more sad about the pictures than the $450 camera.

The boys were potty train this summer and with twin boys that is no easy task. About a week of solid training the boys got the hang of it pretty good. If you came over to our house in the last two month my boy would have shamelessly been walking around with no pant or underwear. They for some reason will pee their pants the minuet you put them on. They are doing much better now about that.

My last month has mainly been preserving the harvest. Pickling and freezing mostly. I will try to take up canning next year. One thing at a time please. Another big project for me is teach the boys how to read. They are really getting the hang of it. I am always blown away at their ability to lean and understand. Their biggest achievement this month is reciting the Lord's Prayer! That is a pretty long thing to memorize. Once again I was blown away.

Some of the activities we did this summer was

Tennis
Trying to teach the boys to ride their big boy
bikes
Throwing rocks in the river
Hiking in Sacony Park
Running
Biking
Swimming (of course going down the big blue slide)
Having Friends over
Catching Rolly Pollies, Beatles, Pray Mantises, Grass hoppers, Worms, etc.

Needless to say Summer was a blast! From our Garden

I know I haven't posted in about a 2-3 months but life is more hectect than ever. With caring for twins starting a business helping my husband here and there with his, keeping a house planning a garden just doesn't leave much time for blogging.

However, I had to blog today because today is the boys big day!!! They are ONE!! They have come a long way from 5 lbs 4oz. They are now pushing the scale at 17.5 lbs!!! WOW watch out! They now have the vocabulary of about 5 words and 3 animal noises Monkey being their favorite animal noise.

Today we woke them up with happy birthday, two candles that we found around the house and two bottle of goats milk (their favorite). Here is a little clip.
